This conference aims equip young people with the tools they need to create a more egalitarian, inclusive, and collaborative world.

We are still accepting submissions for presenting a 90-minute session at the conference!
How does sociocracy fit into work with youth and in education?
We are looking for presentations and participatory workshops that:
- Showcase “best practices” for using sociocracy with youth and in education
- Give concrete examples based on experience
- Inspire others to use these tools
Presentations styles may include:
- Panel discussions (a moderated group of speakers on a particular topic)
- Case study presentations- how does sociocracy operate in your organization?
- Questions and answers session
- A participatory workshop
Topics we are especially interested in include:
- Practicing sociocracy with different ages
- Sociocracy and conflict resolution, restorative justice, trauma, or NVC
- Holacracy or other self-management tools and sociocracy in schools
- Children’s parliaments and other youth activism
- Sociocracy in the classroom context and with learning
- Circle structures in schools
- Case studies of particular schools or organizations
We invite presentations of wisdom, experience, practical tools, and effective meeting facilitation processes that bring out the best that sociocracy can offer.
We welcome your application to host a 60-90 minute workshop or presentation and look forward to hearing from you.
The online conference will run February 18th, 2023 from 8:00 am EST to 3:30 pm EST.
Sessions will be scheduled in 4 tracks offering multiple workshop options and an opening
and closing plenary for all participants. There will be 15-minute breaks between sessions for networking and moving from room to room.

Sociocracy in schools and with youth

Modern sociocracy began in a school, and is used in over 50 schools around the world to empower students. The Children’s Parliaments in India organize tens of thousands of children sociocratically. There is currently work to globalize this grassroots movement.
