Uli Nagel

I was born in Germany in 1960 and have lived in Western MA for the past 20 years. People working, learning and BEING together has always been an interest of mine. For 10 years, I was part of a spiritual community that focused on dialogue as a way to evolve. I also studied Holacracy in 2013 before discovering sociocracy as well as other forms of dialogue work. I spend a lot of time on climate-related issues, which is very challenging emotionally, and systems like Sociocracy, Dynamic Facilitation, Councils and Empathy Circles seem what we really need as pressures on and in our societies increase with climate change – to be true to our values, human connection and spiritual unity while working together. That’s one reason I want to do more of this work – the other is that it is just so much fun and gives so much nourishment and deep satisfaction to flow together.

I am part of a budding intentional community here and many different circles of caring people (the word “activist” does not do us justice!)
