Group decision-making is central to my personal and professional life. I’m a climate scientist who has found herself doing more and more work in transdisciplinary collaborations across institutions and countries. These funded and unfunded collaborations range from 3 to 50 people spanning 3-7 years. On a personal level, I live with my polycule family of 6 where we’ve collectively managed our household resources since 2018, in the past I’ve lived in a residential co-op for several years. I was first drawn to sociocracy because I wanted to run good meetings with people I care deeply about and respect; I’ve stayed because the decisions we make together are richer and (frankly) more fun than going it alone!
