? This is an English presentation for the Sociocracy in Cooperatives Conference on June 23rd, 2022.
Description
Join us to explore how Third Sector Accountancy found sociocracy and the successes and challenges they’ve experienced implementing a new structure during a period of rapid growth. This session will be framed as a conversation between Zig Power and Jo Roberts from TSA, with Abbie Kempson from SoFA’s Co-op Circle. We invite participants to ask questions and share their experiences of introducing sociocracy into co-operatives.
Bio

Zig Power is an experienced worker co-operator, a co-founder of Leeds Bread Worker Co-op, which is now 10 years old, and 5 years a member of Third Sector Accountancy. He brought sociocracy to TSA after attending a sociocracy 101 workshop which he found really inspiring.
TSA is a firm of Chartered Accountants and Registered Auditors offering accountancy services primarily to those in the third sector. We’re unique in being organised as a workers co-operative and in offering an ethical and co-operative approach to the provision of financial services. We are currently a team of twenty, able to offer a wealth of accounting, auditing and book-keeping experience and skills.

Jo Roberts joined Third Sector Accountancy in 2022 after working at bookkeeping and accounting agencies in Lincolnshire for 8 years. She is looking forward to using her accounting skills to make a positive impact on the wider community.
