Is sociocracy teal?

Many of us have been and continue to be inspired by Reinventing Organizations by Frederic Laloux. While there is reference to Holacracy in Reinventing Organizations, there is not much direct reference to sociocracy. So, where does sociocracy fit in?
Sociocracy is certainly a self-management system of peer relationships, giving people (both teams and individuals) autonomy in their domains, leading to a system of intentionally distributed power in the organization. Furthermore, other features of teal organizations include “inner wholeness” (being complete human beings, not only our professional aspects) and “evolutionary purpose” (giving organizations a chance to evolve like a natural organism). Where does sociocracy fulfill the characteristics, where doesn’t it?
This is not a black-and-white topic as not everyone assesses the concepts or the evidence similarly. We hope for an enlightening event intended to give an impulse to the conversation. To get us started, Ted Rau from Sociocracy For All will talk about his view while highlighting where people might have other opinions. There will be time for reflections and some discussion from audience members.
