Roots of Sociocracy: Complex Systems and Life in Chaordic Space
Wednesday, January 28th, 2026 — 90 minutes
10:00 AM Pacific / 1:00 PM Eastern / 3:00 PM Argentina / 6:00 PM GMT
Session Description: We’ll explore key concepts from complex systems theory and apply them to our communities to better understand tensions, patterns, and dynamics. Through a set of guiding questions, participants will reflect deeply and uncover new ways of seeing and acting. Expect a thoughtful, reflective space that may continue to spark insight long after the session ends.
Presenter: Eduardo Mercovich is from Argentina and studied Biological Sciences at the University of Buenos Aires. Since 1992, he has worked in socio-technological complex systems—researching, designing, and testing approaches that integrate human perception, cognition, and technology for social good. He has collaborated with NGOs, governments, and companies across Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Mexico, the United States, and international organizations such as FAO, Greenpeace, and UNDP. Eduardo now focuses on developing technology for human rights. He loves biking (he has crossed the Andes three times!) and considers his intentional community, Confluencia, his extended family.
