Learn from Cohousing, Coliving and Intentional Communities around the world at the Sociocracy in Intentional Communities Conference
The conference will explore how sociocracy supports ecovillages, cohousing projects and housing cooperatives to meet social needs through resilient, equitable and regenerative self-governance practices.
Intentional communities benefit from the special design of sociocracy that supports us in making decisions together while preparing the way for action.
This makes sociocracy an often-used option for governance of communities all over the world.

Sociocracy in Intentional Communities:
Creating A Future That Works For All Today
The conference will explore how sociocracy supports ecovillages, cohousing projects, and housing cooperatives to meet social needs through resilient, equitable and regenerative self-governance practices.
We are currently accepting submissions for presenting a 50 minute session at the conference!
How does sociocracy fit into the Big Picture of thriving intentional community life?
We are looking for presentations and participatory workshops that:
- Relate how sociocracy supports healthy and place-based community life
- Inspire other communities with their use of sociocracy
We invite presentations of wisdom, experience, practical tools, and effective meeting facilitation processes that bring out the best that sociocratic governance can offer resilient, regenerative communities.
Additional “Big Picture” presentations to intentional community design like Social Permaculture, Prosocial Worldview, and Commonings Movement can broaden the conference’s impact, as will any creative ideas you might want to share.
We welcome your statement of interest in hosting a 50 minute workshop or presentation and look forward to hearing from you.
The conference will run from 7:30 am PST to 1:30 pm PST / 10:30 am EST to 4:30 pm EST.
Workshops will be scheduled in 4 tracks offering multiple workshop options and an opening
and closing plenary for all participants.
Please complete the application form and submit it by August 28th, 2022 to be reviewed by the Intentional Communities Circle.
