Alma Gisela García Gil Leyva

Hello, my name is Alma, I’m a non binary artist and activist from Mexico.

I mainly work with performance and installation art but I keep myself open to experiment with different media. I’m a former photographer and most of my working experience is focused on digital marketing, I used to work for 6 years at agencies to learn all the tricks and saved enough to quit and commit to cultural projects. I am currently member of two co-ops: one is a circular clothing brand and the another one is focused on design.

I LOVE singing, dancing (I’m in love with Butoh and my next challenge is Voguing), climbing and yoga. You can easily tell I’m an Aries (Gemini ascendant, Leo moon). Which takes me to the next point: I’m a modern witch. I focus my practice on trance, regressive hypnosis and in the future I’d like to certificate as an art therapist (in the Jungian field) and develop my own healing through performance methodology and help people with mental health.
