I live with my family by the sea Edinburgh. I trained in community arts, art therapy and craniosacral therapy, and have worked in community arts (as development worker in an Arts for Mental Health project), the Transition movement (I set up and managed Transition Scotland Support and am now active in Scottish Communities Climate Action Network and the international Transition Hubs movement) and event management (I ran the Scottish Green Party conferences for 3 years).
Having burned out quite badly a few years ago, I have become much more interested in the inner changes we need to make as individuals and in society: in how we do things as well as what we’re doing to make change. I’m currently working on a project (currently called the Inner Resilience Network of Networks) to help connect the wide range of methodologies that attempt to help us towards a different way of being with ourselves, one another and the more beautiful world we’re working towards.
For me, sociocracy is a lovely balance of clarity and logic, while also allowing space for feeling and bringing our whole selves. I’m very much enjoying my journey of discovery with it.
