Let me tell you a little bit about me. My name is Marco and I live together with my wife Margot and two kids in the center of the Netherlands in a little town called Wijk bij Duurstede.

For many years I served as a senior finance analyst for one of World’s largest IT Outsourcing Agencies. I really got fed-up with the hierarchy and utter disregard towards employees in corporate life.

In 2009 I took the opportunity to start at a Dutch Tech Scale-up and pledged to take the leanings. “Every Business is defined by its people”, As a modern company we could reach solutions and decisions much faster when you change your mindset. I got introduced with the Agile methodologies but still missed the people side of things.

Hi, mijn naam is Marco en ik woon samen met mijn vrouw Margot en twee kinderen in het centrum van Nederland in een klein oud stadje genaamd Wijk bij Duurstede.

Ik heb vele jaren gewerkt als senior financieel analist voor een van ‘s werelds grootste IT Outsourcing bureaus. Ik kreeg echt genoeg van de hiërarchie en de totale minachting voor werknemers in het bolwerk van corporate bedrijven.

In 2009 maakte ik de switch en ging werken voor een Nederlandse Tech Scale-up. Hier ontwikkelde ik mijn credo verder “Every Business is defined by its people”, Als een modern bedrijf konden we veel sneller tot oplossingen en beslissingen komen. Wij hadden die Agile mindset. Ik maakte kennis met de verschillende methodologieën binnen Agile, maar miste toch de menselijke kant van de zaak.
