Hey there!

The SoFA annual conference is scheduled for April 27, and we’d love your contribution to it!

The conference will be a little different this year — it will have fewer talks and more micro-trainings and networking activities. The speaker slots are all filled.

But this is where you come in:

• Would you like to be part of a panel?
• Would you like to offer an participatory activity or microtraining?

Each activity or panel takes about 50min.

Here are some training/activity ideas:

meet and greet for nonprofits/activists | guided meditation | somatic exercises | speed dating | language meet and greet (Swedish, German, French, Italian?)  |  personal visioning exercise | conversation prompts | warm data | yoga | ACT matrix | picture forming practice | what to do if a circle member keeps interrupting? | integrating objections | sticky situations! | selection process to pick a topic | agenda formats and minutes | Prosocial – Ostrom principles and sociocracy | NVC – empathy practice

• Is sociocracy intercultural?
• Leadership & accountability
• Sociocracy and personal development
• Is sociocracy spiritual?
• Diversity, equity and inclusion
• Sociocracy in families
• Sociocracy in the private sector

• Sociocracy in activism

Your contribution would make this conference a big sociocracy festival! Please let us know if you have interest in one of the forms:

Secondly, General Circe had a big budget meeting today. Things looked good last quarter but there are rising expenses: making the website faster, helping groups localize the website, and starting training. So, currently, the expected expenses aren’t covered. We need all circles to be aware of that; another reason to help make the conference a big success!

• Academy 2022 has 41 people signed up! 
• Academy 2021 is complete.
• Social Media Circle is working on TikTok campaign and other campaigns.

Ecosystem Circle

• Organizational memberships hoping to get more organizations onboarded.

Membership Circle

• Progress on Membership Framework.
• Still a lot of renewals pending.

International Circle

• SoPra started Círculo Permacultura; finished translation of ¿Quien Decide Quien Decide? (Who Decides Who Decides) and the basic ELC!
• Scandinavia starting on website translation soon; ELC Swedish getting the last push soon.
• German circle working on website translation; Many Voices One Song translation will be complete in a few months! Planning a German conference in Oct 2022.

Cooperatives Conference (6/23)

The Co-op Circle is calling for proposals for presentations at their second Sociocracy in Cooperatives Conference scheduled for June 23, 2022. Please spread the word!
