Small is Beautiful: “Sociocracy light” for small organizations

January 19 @ 14:00 17:30 UTC

Small is beautiful - - Sociocracy For All

Description

Are you interested in sociocracy but in a small organization … where maybe it’s not worth to work with so much structure?

This class is perfect if you:

if you’re in a unit or organization with 5-10 people, and

not planning to grow any time soon (i.e. not a start up)

You like to keep some things informal, while also adding a bit more structure and clarity.

Topics

What parts of sociocracy are useful for a small organization?

What parts of more informal systems are worth keeping?

Where is more structure needed?

What can we, and what do we need to do as a next step?

In these 4 hours we will:

  • Analyse what is working for your current system right now – and what isn’t?
  • Habits that support coherence and flow
  • What requires a group decision, what doesn’t?
  • Clarity, structure and roles – what do we need? When do we need it?
  • When is informal not enough anymore?

You will leave with a clearer picture on how to use sociocracy in a way that is helpful.
